I'm fuzzy on details...please chime in if you're familiar with what happened with the Golden Slipper and the Silver Slipper.

Best as I can remember, the owners of The Last Frontier Village wanted to call their casino the Silver Slipper, but there was already a Silver Slipper on the Boulder Highway. So they called their casino the Golden Slipper, until they could purchase and close (or rename) the Silver Slipper on Boulder Highway. Something like that, anyway!

Anyway...I was looking at some of the old tourist magazines and this caught my attention. From 1950, when the casino at the Last Frontier Village was called the Golden Slipper
