Gene... for whatever it's worth ... and I know that some card collectors do not agree with this position... but just for discussion sake, I personally only recognize variations that are put on cards by the card manufacturers, except for the stickers that are affixed by the casino which gives the card a different status such as Seniors or higher level of player.
The casinos can print any number of unlimited variations depending upon their imprint machines that are in use at that particular time. Some use an embossing method, others use a printing ink method... or both. Should it matter if the player's name is printed on the left side of the card or the right side? To me it does not. I'm sure others think otherwise.
Many cards have false names of sports and hollywood celebrities imprinted on them ... that are being offered on ebay at outrageous prices. These are casino employeee manufactured "rarities" in 99.9% of the cases.
