1) I like your message. I hope we do create a bridge between the two hobbies.

2) This board hasn't changed in large part because it was started by a well loved guy who died way too young. The board has been maintained as a tribute to him, so people are very reluctant to update it in any way. Of course, we also have many set in their way types who just love it the way it is, so why change it, too. But I think many of us know it is very out of date and unfortunately an obstacle to younger collectors.
