Re: If the MoGH accepts non-casino chips, why does

John,
I'd say great idea but for the last couple years and I'm sure before that, there was upwards of 40 of us set collectors at the convention. I myself as well as others are also members of the CCA and happy to support! I even volunteered at the show last year for Scott P.! an awesome guy and fan of the club. Him and I hit it off and discovered a lot about each others sickness, I mean collecting of chips, and the differences and similarities between us sets guys and the singles guys. I have since also become a beginner singles collector! Not sure I can handle the cost of both sides!!!

I have been a member at PCF for a few years now and in the sets world consider myself mostly retired from chipping (Sets). As my interest in the hobby has grown, and my seeking and selling of chips to bring to the community grew I have found it necessary to have my own site for tax and business purposes so i figured I'd take my vision to that site and have fun with it also!

PokerChipper is a brand new site and doesn't yet have 1000's of users, it's 100% free and were working to improve it every day. In my short note on the home page I explain the birth of PokerChipper, maybe it'll take off maybe not but it serves my purposes to keep things in my sales and trades organized. You can view that statement here: https://www.pokerchipper.com/threads/a-simple-note.130/#post-768
My recent project at PC.C has been to try and introduce the Sets folks to the singles folks and see how we both enjoy the hobby and learn more from each other.

My overall vision is less about selling and buying bulk chips, whiskey threads, food threads and all the other stuff you can find on mainstream social media and have content about chipping singles and building sets. Casino History, Chip History and all things chipping.

PCF is great and the majority of the members there are also, you mention 11,000 members, well, thats indeed the number of people who have created user accounts since it's inception years ago, but hardly representative of its active membership IMO. I'm not here to bad rap PCF I'm just saying take the numbers with a grain of salt.

There's a lot of great people here too! great insite, and legendary chippers! (I started a thread about that at PC, come tell us about the legends) and I know this next one will be hard to read, and please don't take offense, but I have to say, Chip board is hard to navigate, a bit behind modern times in its look and feel, and OMG, the spam that makes it thru the filters makes it even harder!! Time for a facelift guys! and lock it down from all the spammers which is quite a bit more than a few things slipping through the filters.

Our membership is small but growing every day! Might make 100 users this week! LOL! but 100 active! come poke around and meet some sets guys or post a story, introduce yourself and your chipping style! my site's not the competition it's chipping unity!!!

Thanks for looking. I'll post here too if interest demands!

Keep on Chipping!
