I remember posts by people who were fooled by chips knowledgable chip collectors would never have been fooled by and were so upset about being scammed that they left the hobby. It bothers me. I don't claim to speak for anyone else. I would rather people not make chips that look like real casino chips, but on their face have nothing on them to suggest they are not from a real existing or closed casino. That said, I am certainly not blaming Oscar about anything. I like his videos and don't blame him for chips he displays which he did not have made. I hope he keeps making his videos.
I don't blame set collectors as a group, either. I have no problem with people who collect chips by the set. I'm not sure why there is a divide.
More importantly, you are referencing chip buys where the base chips match vintage chips that I personally have never heard of and maybe a lot of people on this board don't know about. It's possible we aren't talking about them because we don't know about them. Can you give us more information about them? It sounds like something we should know.
