If a seasoned chip collector will turn away from certain chips such as within a region or gaming jurisdiction that has several known and well documented history of fakes, I wonder what the effect would be within the club/hobby if the current issue was broadcast in collector tabloids and online with pointing to only a handful of the fakes made in the past several years and, mentioned that no attempt has been made by the CCA, that same doubt and uncertainty that caused seasoned collectors to turn away from collecting chips from such areas/regions might cause collectors in general to not even consider entering a hobby where fakes are so freely made and where their organized club(s) has not made an effort to harness...
Your concerns are real, Charles... and maybe something more than just documenting the fakes in our online catalog should be addressed as to possibly suggesting markings on those chips that depict an actual casino name such as the Hobby Protection Act calls for...
