My point is that many people in the hobby and in the casino industry refer to what you and I call inserts as "pips" (any of the figures or spots on playing cards, dominos, dice, etc.) This does not mean they are wrong, because it's a perfectly acceptable term in the hobby and industry. Granted it's not very common, but it is there, and would be a very good entry if we had a Glossary of Terms.
