I recently picked up a few chips from the Country Club of Lima, Peru from the 1920's. I notice the same color of chip has more than one denomination. I did some checking and found that both die cut and crest & seal chips from that casino have the same ten colors with 50¢, 1, 5, and 10 denominations. Having ten colors I would guess they are roulettes. My question is, wouldn't that be confusing if a stack of tens had a few ones mixed in? From the edge they all look the same. Would the dealer have to break down every winning stack and see all the values?
