I think the Nevada listing is meant to attribute them to a strip club, rather than a brothel. On the ChipGuide, both those categories are combined.

Those chips being found in a chip hoard with other H&C Brass Elephant Saloon (Citrus Heights, CA) chips is a very strong indication that they were used in the Citrus Heights card room. Also being heavily used also links them to a card room, rather than tip tokens used in a strip club.

Searching newspaper archives (newspapers.com, genealogybank,com, newslibrary.com) I can not find any evidence that a Brass Elephant Saloon ever existed in Nevada. Does anyone know of one?

As a California administrator, I will add those chips to the Citrus Heights, CA club. I will let a Nevada administrator decide whether to remove them from Nevada or not.
