Just making a note since all the rates changed... from USPS
Thank you for contacting the USPS® Internet Customer Care Center.Postage value of a forever non-Machinable stamp is $1.03
Thanks for the tips, I picked up some extra ounce forever. so I'm good for 1oz ($1.03) and 2oz $1.27), then 3oz is $1.51 and 3 1/2 = $1.75
Then the bracket, 3.6oz to 4.9oz is $1.98
at 5oz it's large envelope rigid $5
6oz $5.60 and up, everything is large envelope rigid and that's the same as small package.
For now I have a bunch of $5 stamps that I got in a collection at the auction. Cost me $15 for 20 of them. I sold the canceled stamps off paper by weight, 5 pounds, on eBay for $35 and paid $15 shipping to get rid of them. Still have envelopes full of 1-2-3-4¢ stamps. And I sold 40 plate blocks for around $15 - free shipping. Mostly, I have a bunch of free postage and the cost is already covered, which means free shipping for the next 20+ chips sales.
Then back to forever non-machinable and forever extra ounce. At 3oz it gets interesting slapping on plate blocks of 4¢ stamps and an 8¢ to make the 24¢ and use up old stamps.
