Just thought I would tell my story of woe today. I have been having minor computer problems lately so I decided to download the Microsoft recommended updates. One of them was for my modem. After the computer rebooted I could not get the modem to dial and, every time it tried, it locked up the whole computer. Of course every service center says just access us by using the internet - which is hard when you can't get connected. I was on the telephone to the technical service people for 1 1/2 hours trying to solve the problem. Even they couldn't figure it out. Finally got it resolved by restoring my computer to where it was a few days ago which eliminated the downloads I did today. So just a word of warning - even Microsoft doesn't know what is always best for you.
