James,
I am a 1/4 mile guy, I supplement my income as a drag racing reporter, absolutely love the sport.
I live in an area that is conductive to placing a high priority on handling when choosing a vehicle for daily driving. There's nothing like a car that is glued to the road with a superior suspension coupled with a 5 speed manual tranny when traveling winding mountain roads on a regular basis. The only way to explain it is, get in, drive and have fun!
You did mention the Saleen 'stang in a past BB post. Sorry to hear that you had so many problems with it. I was hoping that you could defend it with a favorable review. Ford needs some serious drivers involved in developing their high performance cars. They've been on a downhill slope since Shelby defected to Mopar and Glidden got out of drag racing.
