I go to Atlantic City once a month for a 3 or 4 day stay at Tropicana, Harrahs or Caesars (which ever one gives me a free room). Over the last 6 months I have been checking out various Casinos, Hotels, motels, Elks Lodges, etc, etc. trying to locate a suitable meeting place for the Atlantic City Casino Collectibles Club meetings. After a frustrating search and only finding meeting rooms with excessive rental charges ranging as high as $2000 for our Sunday meetings, I finally found a place this past Sunday that I feel should be great for our meetings.
Here are the details:
Venue: "The Cove" Bar and Restaurant (Very nice facility - locals Bar and Restaurant).
Location: 3700 Brigantine Blvd. - Brigantine, NJ ( About 1 1/2 miles directly North of Harrahs Casino) Very easy to find.
Room Charge: $00.00 - Yes FREE, No Charge, Zip, Zero, Nada !!!
Set-up Chairs and Tables: No Charge (Very nice Private Room).
Parking: Free (Sone Casino charge as much as $25 on a Sunday)
Private outside entrance.
Food and Beverage Charge: No Minimum Charge. The Club can probably buy Pizza and Sodas for everyone for a lot less than we used to pay Ballys just for the Room Rental. Members can also order whatever they want off the extensive menu burgers, pasta, seafood, beer, wine, etc.
I meet with the owner of "The Cove" Joe Crilley and we can schedule a meeting in March. (Just need to confirm the date.)
I feel that everything considered this would be a Great location for our future A. C. Club meetings.
I will contact the Club Officers with all the details so we can get a meeting scheduled ASAP. It will be great to get back together after over 3 years without a meeting. (Our last meeting was November 2019 before Covid hit)
Take care,
Jerry (Looking forward to seeing everyone) Birl
