IS the anti slab club against tokens too?
What about ashtray's? They won't break then. I think I would like to slab some slot cards. Anything valuable seems to be slabable. "Slabable" is that in the dictionary?

Can we help it that chips have become more valuable than any of us old timer's- me included (not picking on Don!), could imagine?

Would vintage (read vintage only), coins & cards be as expensive as they are now without the authenticated slab? I am asking. I do not know about these hobbies at that level.

If we have 10,000 collectors & 100 are serious to buy a chip over $1,000 instead of 4,000 in club & about 40 who will spend just $1,000, will this be bad? Will other chips, less valuable go up? WIll the $15,000 chip, of which there are a few of that have traded hands so far & more to possibly trade soon, be a $40,000 to $50,000 chip? How long can it take? It took about a year to get over $10,000 to $15,000. That is a good percentage over.

Now ask yourself this. If your collection grows in value & you need a new car or to pay some bills won't you be thrilled they went up & not down? So you are looking at chips as an investment but you have fun with it at a hobby level. Correct?

Well the only way for chips to keep going is growth. Now we need to make that happen. It happens on it's own yes. Will publicity help in getting the word out that we have a fascinating growing hobby? TO market our hobby to other hobbyist is the only fast sure way to do this.
If they come from baseball cards or from the coin hobby so be it.

Time to go get chips on ebay. I will check this later or tomorrow.
