It appears the wafer-thin translucent core runs through the complete width and metallic plugs appear to run in the area of the rim.
This is all happening on its own and has been stored with other plastic-type chips.
Don Lueders has other designs (butterfly and bird) and I have been told they were manufactured in Berlin during the 1970's along with the glod flake, clay/plastic composition chips that were popular in Central and Easten Europe at the time
