I went to the grand opening of Lake Charles Horseshoe Casino yesterday. A very nice ( on the small size ) casino. The poker room only has 10 tables and 7 of the tables had players. I expected it to be full of players but that did not happen as I stayed till after midnight. They had no grand opening chips that I saw and I asked and no one had seen one. I did pick up a rack of white chips to bring home. I did not keep any of the $5, $25, or $100 as the design was exactly like the 1's. The gift bag did have a grand opening token in it I have taken a few photos of the $1 chip and G.O. token and some others . At the opening ceremonies "Matress Mac" the guy from Houston who bet and won $75 MILLION on the astros world series win was introduced and he was going in to the sports book and was placing a million dollar bet on college basketball ( one of the Houston teams ) .
