McCall has an amazing lake. Head north and go hang on Lake Coeur d'Alene. HUGE lake. Head even further north and there's Lake Pend Orielle. The Navy has held submarine training there because it's one of the deepest lakes around.

Head east from Boise and there's Craters of the Moon. NASA trained astronauts there in the 60s for moon landings and moon walks. Take your power flashlight with you because you can go in the lava tubes and the caves. It's also so amazing how cool it is in the caves.

I'm not the biggest fan of Idaho despite living in the state for over 50 years now. But it is the best place to be if you love the outdoors.
