Pete, a practical test here. One of these is...

headed your way.

This is a first batch of single, solidly constructed chips, stapled between two layers of stiff card-stock, and inserted into a standard (6.5" x 3.75") envelope. The face of the envelopes are marked "NON-MACHINABLE" in red. Postage is a single Forever stamp and either 4 x 10 cent stamps, or 5 x 8 cent stamps, in effort to hit 99 cents in postage. Which I believe is 60 cents for 1st Class, plus 39 cents for the NON-MACHINABLE surcharge.

At the Post Office, I showed the Clerk (a very, very nice guy) all of the envelopes and asked, since these are all marked NON-MACHINABLE, did he want the stack, or should I just put them in the "stamped envelopes" mail chute. He said, "everything here is run through the machine, so just use the chute".

So, I did. Please let me know if, and when, you get yours.

Jim
