Here is a rememberence about my friend...

I lived in Tucson for 20 years. After I started collecting, I bumped into Smitty at one of the annual CCA Conventions. We hit it off and for several years he and I would travel together from Tucson/Benson to Vegas and back for some of the Conventions. He always drove, as being with the cab company, it was in his blood.

After I moved to Vegas, I wanted my granddaughter to visit and I asked Smitty if he could pick her and bring her to Vegas. He was happy to do so. I think this may have been his trip where he went to visit you for a year, after the Convention.

Smitty was a great guy. Warm and friendly with a gruff exterior. He was also very proud of you.
