After literally hundreds of chip and animation cel deals completed through the US mail (admittedly a few packages were late and some were slightly damaged), I finally had my first package vanish without a trace in the postal system. The chip was mailed to me from Las Vegas on October 22nd and it never arrived. Fortunately the sender paid for insurance on the shipment.

I've filled out the required claim form and will be dropping it off at my local post office this week. Anyone have experience with a USPS insurance claim? How long do they usually take to investigate and settle the claim? Thanks.
