More later. Poker room at Green Bay was just opening, nothing unusual that I could see. Table chips looked the same. No games were running. Menominee Keshena, nothing looked different from the past. No live games were open yet.
North Star / North Star Casino Resort - Bowler, (but some signs on the county roads say Red River?) new 30th Aniv. $5 otherwise, pretty much the same. I didn't have a chance at the roulette table, not open. Six colors. Same Mfg. as the 30th Aniv. chip. Plain white inlay in center, basic casino logo and name.
Wittenberg, no table games, all electronic. ($25 in play and a box lunch)
North Star and Wittenberg had special players cards for Veterans. All had some amount of free plays for Vets. Two had a free lunch, two had a pin. Two lanyards and a pen.
Round numbers, left at 8AM, home by 4PM, about 318 miles. I could have made it faster except for buying chips at North Star and getting the free play credits to work at Ho Chunk. Some other basic numbers, 90 miles to Oneida from home, 151 to home from Wittenberg. That accounts for about 3:15 - 3:30 of the time.
