It would make sense for the Playboy to also have one but I would have thought that the same person made it and as they said they didn't.........
The Gaming Board would have known about them along with members of staff and management.
The Clermont was never "really" a Playboy Club and was treated as a separate entity due to being a traditional high-end casino. It had bunny uniforms but no chips/plaques/jetons (according to the manager who was GM there) which is a shame. Yes, the Playboy had many rich punters but many were sent to the Clermont too.
Even when the Clermont was owned by Grosvenor it was treated as "separate" to a large extent although I did get to do a few shifts there in the early 1990s and also worked there in 2012 for a handful of years.
The best items they had when I was there in 2012 were the £5,000 ivory and £10,000 tortoiseshell plaques that were on the wall in the cash desk. They had a few of them but were never used. I have been told that everything was destroyed when it closed down but hope that is not true. I know that at least 1 set did escape and maybe a couple more and can only hope that some were just stored although doubtful.
It has since re-opened with different chips, none of which I've seen yet and there aren't any on the guide yet.
