Some new (?) info on Casino Venice

We just got back from an 11 day tour of Italy and the first stop was in Venice. We were there on a cruise years ago but I never got a chance to visit the casino. Fortunately, this time our tour hotel was within walking distance of the casino. They must still be feeling the effects of Covid as the casino is only open on weekends. They also have Americanized and eliminated their euro denominated roulette chips. The chipguide shows the table A and B chips currently in use. There also was no entrance fee to get in (I was really hoping to get a free play chip with the fee). I think the smallest chip on the tables is the purple $2 jeton. I was hoping to get some more small denomination chips but the smallest that I needed was the 5 euro. I could not pry anything smaller from the cage.

I still cannot believe 11 days in a country and only one casino to visit. mad Due to time constraints I also was only able to hit a very few flea markets and antique stores. I did not buy anything although two of the stores had the non-casino plastic jeton sets.
