I'm looking at the photo on page 1 of TGT (upper fight) where one will notice the right angle step the bird is perched on. Seems to resemble the same as seen on the chip.

I don't know if there are any postcards, matchbooks or photos of any illegal club depicting a Thunderbird perched in the same manner.
