Personally, I would rather know you as the guy who made videos of historical significance to the hobby and not the guy that altered historical chips that others tried to sell as legitimate.
In particular, these chips have a TCR value (with the drill hole) of "H" and the non-drilled versions are "N". Any restoration that you do to return them to original state (even if NOT completely like original state) will only encourage unscrupulous individuals to represent them as genuine, or more likely, just not include the fact that they are altered to look like the originals.
Moreover, with these particular chips, some of the originals were altered to make them chockens, which have an even higher TCR value of "M", which may entice someone to add a metal band to your altered versions.
If you are compelled to do this, I would suggest making them magnetic. Whatever fill material you use, add metal filings, or even a metal washer. Alternatively, have the replacement inlays printed with a UV ink with your name or something to boldly show under a UV light source that these are not original chips.
But do keep in mind that you will be complicating the hobby to some degree, and quite possibly adding your name to the list of others known for similar actions.
IMHO
