This claim regarding the palms chip show is total nonsense. The best chip shows ever produced were put on by Jim Munding. He was the master when it came to chip shows. The grand daddy of them all was the original Bellflower Show in So. California, that was before their was a formal club. Those were great shows, for those of us that have been doing this for over 30 years. Jim's shows in Bellflower and then Arcadia were the best. In addition to his California shows Jim started doing shows here in Las Vegas. He teamed up with Charlie Rodgers and Bill Aikman and produced some great shows , the best being the Super Bowl Casino Rama show. We also did a couple of shows in Reno, Laughlin and Oregon. Since Jim retired and Charlie passed away the quality of chip shows has steadily diminished, including the annual CCA convention. And I have attended as a dealer at pretty much everyone of these shows. Except for the palms show. I refused to be part of that show because of the location and the people that were sponsoring it.

This new SNCCC show will be an attempt to recapture the enthusiasm and the good times of all those great old shows. I know it will be a success, because of the overwhelming dedication of our organization. And we have major plans for our future endeavors.

And let me say this. Jim Munding has done more for this chip collecting hobby then anyone I know. He truly is the " GODFATHER " of casino chip collecting. He was there ( BELLFLOWER SHOW ) long before their was a formal club. Can you believe that Jim is not in the Hall of Fame.
