I do have a few of those chips in my collection. They come up once in a while and most that I have seen look new. Very interesting and cool chip.. It was the only Small Crown Chip ever produced for the Sahara. I wonder why the small crown design ?? Also, I have never determined what they were used for. According to the chip guide they were from 1965 . My best guess is that they were not used for table games but possibly earned some how at the casino and used to make some sort of purchase.... They may have gone the way of the Baccarat Plaques introduced and then phased out. Any feedback on what these were used for is appreciated.
