…had to go through the agonizing process of filing a USPS insurance claim? Unfortunately, this past summer the USPS damaged an item I sent and it took (4) months to get the insurance money. Fortunately, the buyer who's item was destroyed (he sent me pictures) was one of the most patient individual's I've ever met. After endless paperwork, unnecessary delays, and countless telephone calls to the USPS, the issue was resolved. I agree that one should only be reimbursed for the amount paid for an item, but if you ever have the unfortunate experience of processing a claim, your opinion might change.
