Like the part of the story where wildlife officials collected the last two specimens to prove they were not yet extinct. And then of course, no more fish could be found a year or two later. Duuuuuuh. Science runs amok. When you jump into the hot springs, it would scare the fish into leaving.

If you could find a Pupfish -- the California Dept. of Fun & Games would put them back onto the critically endangered list and send out more fishermen to catch those too.
