Thought you might find this interesting, In 2009 Popular Mechanics published an article about RADICAL plans to cure the Las Vegas water problems. Apparently these plans are no longer considered radical . They included paying for desalization plants in California in exchange for their Colorado river water rights. One of the more interesting plans was a pipeline under the ocean to bring water from the Columbia river basin to Southern California-Nevada. Like it or not, Nevada, Arizona, and California will eventually have to face these issues together.
