We cannot accept Emailed ballots because the election is confidential as to the voter's identity. We do not open the mailed ballots until counting day. Mary Ann Massey opens the envelopes and hands the ballots to the counters. She is the only one that ever sees the voter's identity. Candidates are invited to observe the counting, but must remain a distance from the table where the ballots are counted. We always have 1-2 other members to assist and verify the ballot counts.
