I don't want disfigured or altered chips either. I've run into many sellers who would make generous accomadations on their sales, hope this guy is one. I know I'd take back any chip for any reason, including buyers remorse. As we've seen here, condition is a matter of personal interpretation.
I won the chip on left below and was surprised on arrival to find the ink marks on one side. Not the side pictured in the auction and no mention. The chip as presented did look slightly dirty with a small purple mark. Putting a glass to the chip I found "$1.00" stamped in ink! Turned out that the chip was from a never-was roulette game and had been pressed into service as a dollar chip in the wilds of eastern Nevada, very, very cool in my mind and an added plus! You can see that the luck of winning chips online can go either way.
