Had a great time at the convention. Several days of looking at chips and seeing old friends.
Once again I want to thank all the volunteers.....some of whom put in many hours to make the event happen often with no recognition. Another thank you to those who donate items for the the grab bags and the club auction. I'm told that this year's auction generated about $7800 for the Club. This is largely due to the many auction lots which were donated and the Club receives all the proceeds.
My favorite convention acquisition is this chip from the Caravan Motor Hotel. This center strip motel opened in 1964 and became the Travelodge Caravan in 1867. Then the Travelodge Center Strip. The site was demolished and became the Nob Hill Casino finally becoming the Casino Royale.
Never seen a chip from this place before and it's not listed in the ChipGuide ( submitted today)
