I'll tell you this... any L mold or HHL chip that was " used" in San Diego would not be produced by CW Rice. San Diego is not on any record card. I can't guarantee that another Company did not use those same molds. I do not believe they had exclusive rights to those molds?
The gents that aquired some of these old companies would have much more info.

They had almost no business south of Bakersfield.They were a very small company that hand stamped each chip one by one until their last day of operation.
They could not compete with Paulson, TRKing or any other Southern California company.
