Here's my situation. Found these Maverick (1993) at an local estate sale, and my offer was accepted. Trying to get them ready for inclusion in the Chip Guide has been a little tough. The Maverick is a Hoyle Products branded playing card company -- which is under the U.S. Playing Cards Co. umbrella of products.
The USPC, formerly called Bicycle Holding, is the world's largest playing card manufacturer and distributor.
The company's brands include the iconic Bicycle name, as well as the Aviator, Bee, Hoyle, Maverick and KEM brands.
USPC holds some chips in Europe's playing card market as well, with subsidiaries Naipes, Heraclio and Fournier.
The ChipGuide has USPC listed as being in Cincinnati, OH but website link takes me to Corporate Headquarters which is in Erlanger, KY. Can't find any evidence of the Ohio operation.
Information on the Maverick box show the cards were made in St. Paul, MN. in 1993.

Maverick is one of their older brands. My question is does anyone have additional information or more knowledge about these cards. These cards are almost 30 years old. Did the company have a St. Paul, MN operation as indicated on the box?
For the record, the take home price was $2 -- they were asking $5. Good deal or not a good deal?
