Cindy and I just got back from a 16 day tour of Spain and Portugal. Although I spent two full days mapping out flea markets, antique stores and casinos along our route I barley had time to visit any of them. I had the best luck in our starting point, Madrid, where I managed to walk to two casinos. In Barcelona the tour bus parked across the street from Casino Barcelona but it was a short picture stop and although the casino had opened 10 minutes earlier I just did not have time to go visit. Most of the rest of the time I was too tired or too busy to visit the casinos or they were too far away to walk. I don't remember hitting any of the flea markets or antique stores either. Kind of disappointing in that regard. Despite that we had a good time, I did not lose my passport this time and our luggage also arrived on time.
If you are considering taking a tour keep in mind that a short tour (less than 7 days) may not be worth the effort of getting all the way to Europe. But a 16 day tour is a LONG time to be gone. We have done two of those now and will stick to shorter tours in the future.
Now I only have three weeks to get ready for setting up our table at the convention. I spent all day today working on the better to rare Nevada chips that I will be selling. I will also have some of the rarest MS slot cards (over $50 book value each), a lot of $25 and up denominated MS chips, possibly a junk box or two and a few surprises including some just never available Tunica MS chips. If sales go good this year I will have to drive next year and bring the rest of my thousands of duplicate chips and set up at more tables.
Here are a few duplicate chips that I picked up in Europe. Fractional chips are $3, 1's are $4, 2.5's are $5 and 5's are $8 - all prices include shipping. I only have one of some of these so first come first served.
