I have used the tracing feature from the post office (4 or 5 times now) and have always gotten positive results within about a day. There can be a lot of info to fill out but it pays off and makes me look like the best seller in the world for having gotten results.

I would keep your buyer informed that you have initiated a trace so they know you care.
