The Liberty Belle opened in 1958 which had previously been the Lil' Red Barn. My good friend
Marsh Fey and his brother Frank ran the place and it was tough going as the place was way out
of town. Often they had to rob the dollar slot machine to pay the bills. In 1967 they added the
Bella Union, a dining room and theater where they presented plays. The only two I'm aware of
is "The Drunkard" and "Ten Nights in a Bar Room", both temperance themed. I don't think it lasted
very long and I'm sorry that I never attended. Marsh later displayed antique slots in the space.
