Like you said, Back in the day they had point multiplier days for a variety of reasons.

One day I went during a 20X multiplier day!

It was a holiday, and it rained that day, along with something else that happened.

Back then the huge multiplier days applied to Video Poker as well as the stupid slots.

I remember playing a 99%+ payback VP machine and getting 20X points which was easily +EV.

I redeemed points for 2 night hotel stays, cash, $100 and $50 food credits, etc.

Soon word spread and professional video poker players (yeah, that is a thing) would take over the Barona VP machines on these type of days. Whomever came up with this promotion must have cost Barona millions of dollars.

Anyhoo, Barona finally got wise to it and severely limited the Video Poker promotions.

Now they most apply to the stupid slots, and I don’t believe the current promotions ever get 10X points..
