I was not privy to the costs associated with being a board member, nor the revenues generated by your site. All I see is the continued issues that people complain about with the chipboard.com site that have gone with no improvement since (apparently) 2012. Nothing stopping you from retaining your ad revenue with newer software. I'm shocked that you actually generate $1000/mo in revenue and give that to the club. That's fantastic. $12k/yr in google ads from this one site? Well done.
If the club pays for you to travel back and forth to/from England, that's pretty substantial and worth considering as an operating expense for the board and the club in general. Can any/all of those expenses be curtailed by using zoom or other methods of communication that don't cost anything? If so, you wouldn't need to subsidize anything with your personal income from this site (although it definitely makes sense because they are tied together).
In any case, I do want to apologize for opening this can of worms. In no way was I attempting to slight you. I was just trying to address the needs of the collecting community, and this discussion forum has been a bone of contention for many for quite a long time. Let's work together to make it all a better place for all concerned.
