Some really interesting points that need clarification. I have a book on Hard Rock chips a bunch of which I have submitted to the ChipGuide. In my humble opinion I do not need permission or give credit to use them in my book. Also, I have received scans of chips from various collectors and given permission to use them in my book prior to them being submitted to the ChipGuide. These as far as I'm concerned also do not permission since I have already credited the collector for the scans.
