Oh you can't mention the antique website, because "no one wants to change". Maybe that similar attitude applies to the club? There are free forums that would allow all areas of collecting to be in one place on one forum. Imagine that, all of us together in one place?
A more modern attitude and more modern website, the Chip BB included, might actually make us look like something interesting to the younger and new collectors, instead of some old school old farts who refuse to move forward and accept change or adjust.
ps I'm 75 now, so before someone starts with kids and new people
One thing I'd like to add personally is I'm still collecting and still having fun. I feel like I've missed out because I can't attend the convention, it's in the middle of the busy season for my work. No I don't want that changed, I'm just saying, that if I could, I've always wanted to meet people and enjoy the convention and Las Vegas is the right place. Best I can do is read and watch the website for photos.
I have managed to ignore the infighting and politics and I don't miss that at all. Here's to the rest of us, the other 98% who are interested in collecting and enjoying, sharing what we like and the history.
