For my 2 cents.
The magazine is the reason I joined the club in the first place many years ago. I like reading a hard copy. I still read a newspaper.
Not everyone is computer savvy. We still have members that do not go on these boards. They do not get the newsletter.
I don't think the cost of membership is out of line with similar types of organizations. Some people are just cheap.
Some people are not happy if they are not complaining.
Would a digital magazine meet our 503C requirements?
If you don't read the magazine shame on you! Write an article that you are interested in. Every quarter we ask for articles to put in the magazine.
I have been asking for suggestions to improve the magazine since I started. I started a Letter to the Editor page, but it only runs intermittently because sends anything.
Can our current website that looks something from the 90s be able to handle an electronic magazine?
I don't remember when I joined the club, I think it is over 30 years. I've been active in the club since I retired eleven years ago, and I have made every convention since. I am extremely concerned about the club's direction. I want to see it grow not to tread water.
Most of all I believe all these discussions belong on the club site, not a public board. I'm just following the thread here.
