Back to the monthly Long Beach Swap Meet - BUT admission price is now $10 instead of $8. Guess they figure they can save time and money by not having to make change so often. Asking prices for chips seems to have gone up, too.

"The Strip" car race chips seem to be hand-made by pasting labels onto blank Gemaco chips. Other sides are the familiar "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas" sign. Crummy paste-up job, with wrinkles and sand felt beneath the labels. But on the chance that these might somehow be collectibles I went ahead and bought them. A few more "legitimate" chips and a 1984 token from the Bucket of Blood, where Virginia City mosquitoes love to hang out. And a genuine Egyptian paving brick! Good start to
the top of a pyramid.
