As far as I know, the last time there was a celebration of the anniversary of the gambling bill
was in 1981 at the MGM in Reno. I remember paying $50 for a ticket to a banquet and a string
of speakers that included Wayne Newton and Harvey Gross. The theme was "Silver Turns to Gold
(50th) and there was even a silver medal issued. Nowadays you never hear a peep. Maybe a
mention on the news. The PC is from 1931 as the Monte Carlo was only open that year.
