Today we talk about how you were able to order personalized chips from chip manufacturers like TR King, Paulson, Christy & Jones, Bud Jones, Taylor & Co. and other companies back in the day. Now, this isn't too long ago that you were able to do it because I believe it was up until the early 2000s when TR King and Paulson were still making these sets for customers. They would keep dies, chip order cards and everything on file so if you wanted to order another set or add on chips in the future it would be no problem. TR King started making these personalized sets as early as the late 50s and Paulson probably started when they began business as well. Those are the two predominant companies that I've seen have personalized sets. Bud Jones, Taylor & Co., Christy & Jones and others I haven't seen much, but I'm sure there are some personal sets out there. It was a fun way to get a set that was "yours". Similar to how people can get chips made today, although they aren't the exact same, they have the same appeal to them. Something that is yours, you came up with the idea and it's exactly how you'd like them to be. Such an awesome thing! Maybe I should start working on a fun CPC Small Crown set for the future.....
