Only about half the vendors showed up - the rest were playing in the Super Bowl. I found a few tokens in a big box at one booth. Two of those were made of Franklinium, that alloy of Columbium promoted by the Franklin Mint years ago. Not sure if they were actually played at casinos, probably more of a souvenir set of "famous slot tokens" or some such. But they sure are shiny and pretty and I had nothing from the Reno Turf Club. Next time I go, I'll have to bring a horse to eat all that turf.
The vendor was so happy (or desperate to lighten his load home) that he grabbed a hand full of miscellaneous tokens from another box and dumped them into my bag. A "token" of his gratitude. Most unknown to me, but a Los Angeles Bus Token which I think are still being used, and a "Ublic Arking" token for free parking in Santa Monica.
Have fun and see if you can spot anything worth a fortune!
