I did most of my Casinorama weekend travel via bus. Even took it all the way to Henderson and back (1.5hrs each way). Let someone else do the driving, which gives me more precious time on my screen, LOL. $20 for a 3-day pass.
Google maps on your smart phone has an icon for public transportation, so just plug in an address, tap that icon, and choose whichever route works best for you. Gives you bus arrival times, transfers, walking times, etc.
I did take Lyft twice, both late-night when buses weren't running as frequently and I just wanted to get back to my hotel. ~$9+tip each time (short rides).
So, around $40 to make my way around town. No hotel parking fees. Short walks to the front door from most of the bus stops.
(A very few) people were mumbling to themselves, but they were harmless. Buses were clean. Some (maybe all?) had wifi. Bus stops weren't the most sanitary in places, but I rarely lick sidewalks, so that's ok.
Anyway, that's my pitch for public transportation!
