In Dale's earlier edition he sought to identify all of the variations of all of the chips--that proved to be a pretty hopeless task. In some cases the same manufacturer created minor variations with new molds; in others the desing not being protected was copied with variations. For an excerize in futility look at the Evening Star chips--our patient and thorough researching friend, Robert Eisenstadt, created a couple of pages of distinctive differences. Most of us gave up trying to catelogue the variations. Dale still shows major variations.
