~~~ usually has the cut or foldover at the upper left and this has nothing to do with any other uniface shape, nor the location of the serial number and most were stock, pre-engraved waiting for customers... thus the reason for a cut corner being found in personal sets. The cut corner or fold was for stacking purposes against the wheel, mostly. and usually the higher denominations but not always which, we see with the Vichy Cercle Int'l. where an octagon was a 10.000 and the cut corner was a 5.000.
